Top 5 Best Action Movies - 01234-movies.com

Most people assume that action movies are just for guys. But it just so happens that I love a good fight movie just as much as any man (as do millions of other females). While there are plenty of great action-packed movies out there to choose from, there are only a handful that I would consider worthy enough of my favorites list. Here are my top five picks for the best action movies.

I watch all movies for free on 123movies new site.

Die Hard- I think just about everyone has heard of John McClain, and if you haven't, boy are you missing out. He is the godfather of action heroes and rightfully so. Bruce Willis took the action genre and definitely made it his own, and in the process he made a bloody, gun-toting tough guy actually look pretty darn sexy. The Die Hard franchise put out 2 (soon to be 3) sequels, but none have yet to surpass the original Die Hard, and it's doubtful that any ever will.

Bad Boys- Martin Lawrence and Will Smith are probably my favorite onscreen cop-partner duo. In Bad Boys, not only were they pretty hilarious, but they looked good with guns too. Bad Boys was, for me, an action-packed, edge of your seat thrill ride, which is everything a good action movie should be. This movie also spawned a sequel, and although it came very close to matching its predecessor, it didn't quite make it for me.

Lethal Weapon- Way before Mel Gibson was getting busted for DUI and spurring racist remarks, he was considered one of the world's biggest action stars. Lethal Weapon was the reason why. Like the Bad Boys duo, Briggs and Murtah were the ultimate in partner pairings. Gibson and Danny Glover seemed to click onscreen and their chemistry as partners/soon to be best buds is what made this movie worth watching for me. The fight scene at the end of the movie between Gibson and Gary Busey was awesome and was one of the biggest reasons this movie made it on my list. Again, Lethal Weapon produced 3 more sequels, but none of them quite lived up to the original.

Running Scared- This movies is fairly recent and definitely worth watching if you haven't seen it already. It's the epitome of an action film, with everything from gun fights and explosions, to a very bloody rampage at a hockey rink. Paul Walker goes from that beach-bound surfer dude role that he usually plays, to a true action star in this movie, proving that he's not just another pretty face to look at. In other words: Mr. Sexy can act! Luckily this movie has yet to produce any sequels and lets hope that it doesn't. I highly doubt a Running Scared 2 would surpass this one anyway.

The Bourne Identity- I never really thought of Matt Damon as an action star until he started making the Bourne films. He's now pretty much made Jason Bourne a household name and a definite force to be reckoned with. The thing I really like about this movie (and it's sequels) is that Matt Damon seems to flow into the action scenes with relative ease. He doesn't look fake or choreographed like a lot of other action stars do. You get so lost in this movie that you almost forget that your watching a character and not a real person. The two sequels that were produced from the Bourne franchise definitely hold their own against this one, but the first still ranks as my favorite and most worthy of this list.
